Ghost Recon: Wildlands open beta numbers are in, breaks Ubisoft records

The Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta wrapped up earlier this week, revealing one of Ubisoft's biggest beta event to date. Up until recently, The Division held the record at Ubisoft for having 6.4 million beta players, but Ghost Recon: Wildlands has surpassed that by 400,000.

According to Ubisoft, Ghost Recon: Wildlands had 6.83 million participants that totaled more than 34,395,124 hours spent in game (which is more than 3,915 years). What is interesting about the 6.83 million beta participant is that over 60% of Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta players played in co-op.

Here's how this beta even stacks up at Ubisoft:

  • For Honor: 6 million
  • The Division: 6.4 million
  • Ghost Recon: Wildlands: 6.8 million

As for beta events held by other developers, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is on the high end, but not at the top:

  • Destiny: 4.6 million
  • Star Wars: Battlefront: 9.5 million
  • Overwatch: 9.7 million
  • Battlefield 1: 13.2 million

Ghost Recon Wildlands is set to release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 7th.
