Ghostbusters finds its villain

Let's see how this goes...

As filming progresses for the female-driven Ghostbusters film, more and more cast members are being revealed. There are still a number of characters that have yet to be announced, we know that the four female leads are Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth will be playing the secratary.

It was recently revealed that Neil Casey will be playing the role of the villain in the upcoming Ghostbusters film. Casey is accredited with writing for Saturday Night Live, Inside Amy Schumer, and The Kroll Show. He has acted in Veep, Broad City, Playing House, The League, SXSW film Fort Tilden, and is currently in director Paul Feig's Yahoo original series Other Space.

It sounds like Ghostbusters is borrowing a lot from Saturday Night Live – all four protagonists have been featured on the show and now the villain too. In other Ghostbusters news, a new character has been revealed – Hawkins – but what void this character fills has not been revealed. Hawkins will be played by Michael K. Williams, best known for his role in Boardwalk Empire.

In case you missed it, the Ghostbusters director, Paul Feig, has revealed the uniforms and proton pack that will be worn in the film.
