Having risen from Kickstarter and becoming a fully funded project, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is now headed to PC and home consoles. Developer Black Forest Studios has announced that the game will be hitting the digital download space for the PC on October 23. A console version of Giana Sisters is scheduled to land on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network sometime in early 2013.
Judging from the trailer below, Giana Sisters looks like a tough-as-nails 2D platforming romp. I mean, just look at all those spikes. You'll be able to collect power-ups and abilities along the way, as well as interact with the ever-changing environment.
Giana Sisters managed to raise $186,158 on Kickstarter, exceeding its goal by over $36,000. Not shabby at all! If you're in the market for a retro-inspired title rife with challenge and old school flair, watch out for Giana Sisters on the PC this October and console download platforms next year.
