God of War Is Not Getting a Season Pass, Release Date Coming Soon

Kratos may be getting an axe to replace his blades, but what he won’t be getting is a Season Pass for God of War 4, Game Director and Writer Cory Barlog confirmed recently.

Barlog took to Twitter to answer some questions the other day, and the discussion of Season Passes came up. Upon answering the question, he stated that he has already completed his second play-through of the unreleased game.

Of course, he was also asked about the upcoming announcement of a release date. Rumors have cropped up on various website, but no solid confirmation has been made. “Not today, sorry. But I promise I will say a release date at some point.”

He also made a positive comment about other games set to release in 2018, which is nice to hear from someone in charge of a massively successful franchise. “With all the awesome games set to come out in 2018, I think it will be safe to tell your boss you will need to take the year off. I know I will be taking a ton of time to sleep and play games when I finish God of War!”

God of War is coming soon, and Barlog has been more than happy to talk about its design choices and mechanics.
