One of the most anticipated games of 2018 is PlayStation’s all-new God of War game. A lot of us got pretty damn excited earlier this week when a release date popped up on the PlayStation Store earlier this week suggesting that it was releasing in just three months on March 22nd, 2018.
Sadly, that doesn’t appear to be the case or for now, at least. At PlayStation Experience, Sony Santa Monica’s golden boy Cory Barlog came out on stage to discuss the game and stayed tight-lipped on the release date. However, it sounds like the wait regardless of when it releases will be worth it.
Barlog stated that the game is shaping up very nicely and that they’re in some of the final stages. They just finished up some playtesting sessions and the game’s length clocked in at about 25 – 30 hours long meaning it will be a very meaty game. Barlog went on to note that the game isn’t completely linear and it’ll feature a bunch of nooks and crannies for players to explore and potentially even engage in combat in.
We’re all excited to dive deep into Kratos’ lengthy new adventure when it releases in 2018… the hardest part is waiting to know when we can play it.
God of War will release exclusively on PlayStation 4 in 2018.
