GOG raised $1.9 million in 2013 ‘Pick 3’ charity drive

GOG raised $1.9 million for charity during its "Pick 3+, Donate $5 or More" charity drive in early November last year.

The digital retailer allowed customers to pick from its selection of games, including titles like FTL and The Whispered World, in exchange for a small donation. It even covered expenses like credit card fees so the charities would benefit in full. The $1.9 million it raised went to the World Wildlife Federation, Worldbuilders, and Gaming for Good organizations.

"The combination of these selfless developers and GOG.com's great gaming community — and the fact that they were willing to support these great causes — were the real cause of the success of the fundraiser, and continue to show that gamers around the world love to help make the world a better place," said GOG in a statement.
