Gone Home sells 250K in half a year

Gone Home has sold a quarter million copies since its launch nearly half a year ago.

First-person adventure Gone Home, the debut effort from indie developer The Fullbright Company, has been the subject of much critical praise since its release in September last year. Within one month, it sold 50,000 copies — and I imagine sales would have been a little higher if the $20 price tag (for a two-hour game) were a little lower.

The developer knocked that price down to $5 for a day back in December.

Roughly 80 percent of sales happened through PC distribution service Steam.
