Shortly after working out a deal with Farmville developer, Zynga, Google has continued to hunt on the prowl for even more companies to help develop games for their new department. This time, they’ve manage to forge ahead on a deal with the company Slide (SuperPoke!, SuperPoke! Pets, Top Fish, SuperPocus Academy of Magic, and the Facebook application FunSpace.) According to TechCrunch, Google bought the company for $182 million, a departure from the $500 million that they were hoping to get originally.
To date, Google has spent approximately $300 million in its new social gaming plan and according to industry sources, this won’t be the last we hear of them.
