Grab Beyond Good & Evil for free this month, starting today

What is better than a free game? A really great free game! And that is what Ubisoft is giving away for free as a part of their 30-year anniversary celebration, starting today Beyond Good & Evil can be downloaded for free.

Ubisoft's 30-year celebration has been going on for about five months now and they have celebrated in style. First, they gave away Prince of Persia: Sands of Time back in June, the month after it was time for the original Splinter Cell, then in August they gave away Rayman Origins, and last month they gave away The Crew. All great games from Ubisoft in different genres, showing what they have done during their 30 years of business.

Now in October it is time for a new game in yet a different genre, this month gamers can download Beyond Good & Evil, a real classic by the mastermind Michel Ancel. Besides Beyond Good & Evil being an amazing game is was also one of the first games with a female main character who's main focus wasn't to look sexy, she was like any other character but a female which broke all trends at the time, or as Ubisoft puts it.

"Released in 2003, this game was a creative bet that took all trends in reverse: the hero was a young girl with skills and wits, Jade, that was very different from women character in video games at that time."

This piece of gaming history can now be downloaded for free from the Ubisoft Club, simply click "Get the game now" and follow the instructions and the download will begin. When it's all done the game will be available for you to play in your uPlay Library on your uPlay account. Beyond Good & Evil will stay free until mid-November, after that it is time for a new game. Just like all the other free games from Ubisoft Beyond Good & Evil will be yours for all eternity, this is not a trial, a demo, or anything like that, once you have downloaded the game it is yours.

Beyond Good & Evil goes free just as Ubisoft and Michel Ancel announced that Beyond Good & Evil 2 had entered pre-production, it almost seems like someone planned this.
