Gamers who are still enjoying Gran Turismo 5 have until April 30, 2014 to purchase any downloadable content for the game. As part of Sony's decision to shut down the game's online services, including Online Lobby, Seasonal Events, Museum, Community, Remote Race, and Online Dealership, all DLC will be removed from the PS Store.
All of the DLC items will be accessible following the shut down; however, re-downloading the files should you delete the game's data does require some special measures to be taken. The Racing Car Pack and Course Pack can be re-downloaded, but only if you first install the Family Upgrade for the items. The Pain Pack and Racing Gear Pack will not be available however, so make sure you don't remove them.
For more info, including additional clarification for each specific add-on, check out the Gran Turismo 5 website. Online support for Gran Turismo 5 will be disabled on May 20, 2014. Sony will also be ending online support for the Resistance trilogy on PS3 including Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3 the following week on March 28, 2014.
