PlayStation 3 owners will soon be able to download the demo for Gran Turismo 6 as Sony confirmed it will be available at 5:00pm Pacific Time, which also happens to be when the 2013 GT Academy competition begins. Of course, this is also contingent on the PlayStation Store actually updating on time.
Here's what the demo contains:
The last portion is actually part of a competition that could eventually lead to a rea-life racing career with Nissan. As previously explained, Those who record the best qualifying times (the 31 fastest racers) will advance to the National Finals, where you can compete for a place in the Silverstone race camp to determine one winner from each country. At the National Finals, the 31 racers plus this year's Racer X winner Armen Aghakhan will be put through an intensive Driver Development Program in order to qualify for a full season racing a Nissan GT-R GT3 NISMO in a top-level championship.
While the competition closes on Sunday, July 28 at 3:59 Pacific Time, the demo will remain open to all until the end of August. Those of you who clear all five trials with greater than a bronze modal will receive a special 15 Year Anniversary bonus race event, which will appear in the demo after July 28.
