You knew it was too good to be true. Gran Turismo 5 will NOT be released on November 2 according to Sony’s official blog, but don’t worry. The game may very well still be released sometime this year although specifics haven’t been mentioned.

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.
As with everyone else, we’re still hoping that Sony comes through and releases the game sometime before 2011. Although given that they’ve pushed their other “hot-holiday” seller, Little Big Planet 2 to January 2011, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear anything less.
