Grand Theft Auto V gets Festive Surprise 2016 update

GTA 5 players are getting an extra taste of the holidays as Rockstar releases the Festive Surprise 2016 holiday update for GTA Online.

The new content is free from now until January 9, 2017. It brings festive items like seasonal sweaters and hats, as well as returning holiday updates from years past. Players can grab classic masks, Santa outfits, and even the Firework Launcher.

This year a new Super class vehicle called Nero will also be available, compliments of Benny’s Original Motor Works. During the holiday update, players can earn double RP and money in the new Turf Wars Adversary mode – and triple RP for participating in the newest premium stunt race, Plummet.

It’s hard to believe but Grand Theft Auto V first launched back in 2013 and is still going strong after all these years. Rockstar recently released the Import/Export content and it’s already sold more than 70 million copies of GTA 5 in its lifetime, nearly outselling all of Wii U’s games combined.

Grand Theft Auto V is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC
