With Broken Window Studios' open world survival horror Grave officially crowdfunded and set to release on PC and Xbox One, the indie studio is now turning its attention to PlayStation 4. But in order to not "short-change any version" of the game, they are making the PS4 version a stretch goal.
"Our first goal is for a Playstation 4 version of the game. Microsoft contacted us first with console support, and we don't want to short-change any version of the game by trying to do too many," Broken Window Studios said in an updated post. "That being said, we really want to bring the game to PS4, so we're making it our first stretch goal at $40,000. What money doesn't go into development will probably go into bribing Sony, as they still aren't giving us much attention. That will likely change soon!"
Other stretch goals include an "expanded open-world" at $50,000, and a multiplayer component if the Kickstarter reaches $60,000. Beyond that, the stretch goals are a mystery.
For those unfamiliar, Grave is an open-world, surrealist-inspired, procedural survival horror experience developed in the Unity game engine. Making use of day and night progression, the game takes on a different feel depending on what time of day it is. During daytime, Grave is primarily an exploration and fortification experience, but at night it takes on much more of an adventurous feel as you can explore new regions that pop up only during the night. Additionally, every item you come across emphasizes "choice and divergence," by offering at least two ways of interacting with it. The idea is to allow you to play how you want.
Grave is set to release sometime in early 2015. If you want to get this game to PS4, and I think you do, head over to its Kickstarter page and pledge some money.
