Alex Hirsch, creator of animated series Gravity Falls, took it upon himself to bring some much-needed comic relief to the current presidential election in the form of Pokémon candidates.
It started with Bernie Sanders, Hirsch said on Twitter, who eventually turned into the Charmander abomination known as “Burnie” (above). Then came Donald Trump, whose rendition speaks for itself:

And they just kept coming. Hirsch churned out “Lil Marco,” “Hillarfree” and “Carzzzon” in a matter of hours. Not long after, other artists got in on the fun:
