Andre Gordon made a post on Instagram with a standard picture of the Green Lantern John Stewart with the description:

If this doesn't solidify him in the role of John Stewart, we don't know what will. Andre Gordon is best known for his roles as Dad in Modern Family and Banja in the TV Series of the same name. He's also been known to be a comic book fan, which only helps this rumor's case.

The film's description reads:

The story centers on the Green Lanterns of Earth-Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart and Guy Gardner-and the rest of the Green Lantern Corps as they fight an interstellar war against the Sinestro Corps, an army led by the former Green Lantern Sinestro who are armed with yellow power rings and seek a universe ruled through fear.
