GTA 5 coming to PC ‘this fall,’ according to Nvidia

Nvidia might have outed the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5, a rumor that has already been floating around the internet, but never confirmed by Rockstar Games.

While speaking during Nvidia's most recent earnings call, senior IR director Chris Evenden listed the highly anticipated open-world title alongside other games headed to PC soon.

"The PC market is evolving," he said, "as entry level laptops face pressure from tablets. Yet sales of specialty PCs like gaming systems and work stations continue to grow. The disparity reflects how consumers use these different classes of PCs. Many consumers look for PC as a general purpose device they can use for browsing, email, social media video. But much of this can be better served by a tablet.

"In contrast, gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Assassin's Creed 4."

Currently GTA 5 is only due out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but the evidence of a PC version is certainly mounting. We've seen everything from retail listings to job postings, and now this. What's more, Nvidia states that the game will make it to PC "this fall," a bold claim given that we're already in August and Rockstar has yet to formally announce anything. Comparitively, it took eight months for GTA 4 to go from consoles to PC.
