The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 may be delayed until spring 2015. The speculation comes from well-known Australian retailer Big W, which apparently posted an open letter to consumers apologizing for the delay.
"In this week's brochure we have advertised GTA V game for PS4 and Xbox One as being available for purchase in November," the letter reads (via Gamepur). "Unfortunately the game is not available for purchase until Spring 2015."
The latest claim comes on the heels of online retailer NewEgg listing the next-gen GTA 5 versions with a November 18 release date; however, it was quickly replaced with a "December 31" placeholder. Meanwhile, the Croydon-based GAME retailer also teased a "provisional release date" of November 1st. So unless Big W knows something these other retailers don't, then it looks like a fall release is still on track.
Rockstar Games has not commented on the possible delay, officially listing Grand Theft Auto 5 for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this fall.
