GTA 5 getting PS4 and Xbox One launch-day title update on Monday

Next Tuesday, Grand Theft Auto 5 will re-release as a bigger, much-improved game on the PS4 and Xbox One. With this next-gen launch comes increased draw distances, 1080p resolution at 30fps, and a range of major visual and technical upgrades that help make Los Santos and Blain County more immersive than ever. But before you can dive into all of this, you'll have to download a title update.

Thankfully, the launch-day title update for GTA 5 will be available for download this Monday, November 17. According to Rockstar, it will include "some last tweaks and optimization fixes for game day." Like other title updates, it's recommended that you download and install this before actually playing the game. The good news for those who have pre-ordered and preloaded the game, you should be able to download it ahead of time and still be ready by launch.

Rockstar also took the opportunity to prepare players for any possible launch-day issues that may arise.

"With the advent of First Person Mode, 30-player Online support and other new features made possible by the new systems, your feedback, help and guidance is more important than ever to help us make the game experience all it can be," Rockstar wrote. "Whether it’s letting us know what you like and what you don’t like about the new features, reporting any technical issues you may experience during the early days of GTA Online’s next generation launch, or any other suggestions for improvements and tweaks whatsoever – we need your continued help, and, maybe, just a little patience if there are any teething problems around the launch on the new systems."

"We have, of course, tested the game extensively but there is no way our several hundred testers can be quite as comprehensive as millions of players! Please bear with us should any issues arise – we will be working hard to fix any problems that arise, and generally ensure this launch is as smooth as possible," the developer promised.

There you have it; if you are experiencing problems with GTA Online at launch day, you already know Rockstar will be working on it. I still expect to see complaints though.
