GTA 5: GTA Online ‘Ill-Gotten Gains Pt. 1’ update out next Wednesday

Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto Online's next update — "Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part One" — will be released next week on Wednesday, June 10th.

Detailed last week, the new free update will introduce a number of new rides, accessories, weapons, and clothing items to GTA 5's multiplayer mode. This includes eight vehicle wraps "inspired by the high-end designers of Rockford Hills," and even some chrome-plated vehicles for those with truly tacky style.

As the "Part One" in the name suggests, this will be the first of two major updates planned to arrive this summer for GTA Online.

Rockstar also teased today that a special Ill-Gotten Gains Social Club Event Weekend (Part One) will begin on Friday, June 12th and run through Sunday, June 14th. This will provide players with opportunities for bonus RP, GTA$, and more.

Ill-Gotten Gains was first teased by Rockstar back in May. While this update will be available on all five platforms GTA 5 is on, it could be one of the last updates to arrive on Xbox 360 and PS3. During a Q&A session last month, Rockstar noted hardware limitations could prevent future content from arriving on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The first example of such is the Rockstar Editor which is only set to arrive on Xbox One and PS4.
