During Take-Two's Q3 2012 earnings conference call, the company confirmed that the recently announced Grand Theft Auto V was "making great progress" in development.
Despite the progress being made, the company admitted they were still far from "determining a window release". However, the general consensus still seems to be that GTA V will likely arrive sometime in Take-Two's upcoming fiscal year, which ends on march 31, 2013.
Many analysts predict the game will arrive in 2012, with some going so far to say it will be the year's "biggest release". That remains to be seen as not much has been said about the game, aside from what is speculated from the trailer which was released back in November 2011.
Lack of updates and news about the game have led to many rumors including one that suggested GTA V would be made for next-gen consoles. This was discovered in a Rockstar Games job ad seeking environment artists "to get the most from next-gen consoles." That sentence was quickly removed from the ad posting as soon as sites got a hold of it, without Rockstar even commenting.
Take-Two didn't reveal too much more about Grand Theft Auto V except that the game "promises to continue Rockstar's track record of delighting fans and raising the bar in interactive entertainment."
