GTA 5 mod turns Los Santos into your digital hacking playground

A new Grand Theft Auto 5 mod turns Los Santos into a digital playground with tons of hacking opportunities reminiscent of Ubisoft's open-world title Watch Dogs.

Created by JulioNIB for the PC version of GTA 5, the mod allows you to perform Watch Dogs-inspired hacks, including the ability to change traffic lights, set off car alarms, and turn off streetlights, all from your in-game phone. The mod doesn't just replicate Watch Dogs-style hacks, but improves upon them, even giving you the ability to remotely drive cars from afar. Basically anything that you'd want to hack to cause mayhem and destruction, you can.

A video of the script in action can be seen below, while the actual mod files can be downloaded here.

Note that other Watch Dogs-like elements in the video, such as the clothes and models, ceom from different mods.
