GTA 5 not cancelled for PC, says Rockstar

Despite rumors, Grand Theft Auto 5 has not been cancelled for PC. Rockstar Games reaffirmed that the PC version, as well as the Xbox One and PS4 editions, are still on the way, due out in fall 2014.

Responding to fans curious as to the possible cancellation of GTA 5 for PC, a Rockstar Games support rep assured the PC version is still in the works and that the release date "has not changed."

"I'm also looking forward to the PC release, however this release date has not changed," the rep said, directing concerned fans to the official support article regarding release dates for all three versions. As expected, the article still states a fall 2014 release for GTA 5 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Rumors of the cancellation first spawned last week when Fox Weekly reported on an interview with Rockstar's supposed marketing director. The website claimed that the PC version could be cancelled due to "corporate problem," adding that Rockstar "never wanted" to release a PC version.
