GTA 5 Online gets new Adversary Mode, New Year’s gifts and more

Rockstar has continued their support of Grand Theft Auto Online years after the service’s initial release with GTA 5. This week, a new vehicle, mode, and gifts have been added to the service.

Starting with the vehicle, GTA Online players can now grab the Overflood Autarch. This vehicle is now available at the Legendary Motorsport.

In addition to the Autarch’s inclusion, a new Adversary Mode has been added to the game. Titled ‘Slashers’ the new Adversary Mode is the latest iteration of the Slasher Adversary Mode. In Slashers, two teams will duke it out to the death in total darkness. Slashers will be armed with Machetes and Shotguns, against the Hunted who are equipped with Thermal Vision and Flashlights. Team roles are reversed as time passes until one group has been wiped out completely.

Between now and January 8th, GTA Online players can earn Double GTA$ and RP through Slashers.

On top of all this, additional player bonuses (i.e. New Year’s gifts), discounts, and unlocks will be made available through the Social Club Events page throughout the week.
