GTA 5 Online gets snow, new mode out and more holiday DLC

The Holidays have reached sunny Los Santos and brought a brand new game mode, as well as a whole lot of other goodies, rewards, and snow!

First, let's get to the important part, the snow will stay until Monday the 26th. As for the new Adversary mode that was released for Grand Theft Auto 5, the Juggernaut mode pitches two teams with one Juggernaut on each team against each other in a battle for dominance or as the official mode description puts it:

"In this brutal war between two opposing teams, the Juggernaut is your greatest asset and your only liability. As an Attacker, you'll need to flank, swarm and successfully execute the opposing team's heavily-reinforced Juggernaut–while protecting your own–to take the win. If your team is unable to wipe out the opposition's Juggernaut in time, Sudden Death rules go into effect and everyone becomes a Juggernaut. First kill wins though, so you'll want to be aggressive in trying to take first blood."

To celebrate the release of this new mode, Rockstar is giving out double GTA $ and RP when playing it until January 1, "giving you the chance to spill some red while making that green".

Another Holiday gift is the customizable version of the Pfister Comet, which has been turned into a "gritty urban dragster suitable for the rough-riding drifters of Los Santos".  This new beast looks like that Porsche every 60-year-old man buys when he tries to convince himself that he still is young is available at  Benny's Original Motor Works.

With the snow falling comes the inevitable snowball fights and players can prepare to return fire by simply pressing left on the D-pad to collect up to nine snowballs.

Additionally, Rockstar also announced that everyone who logs into GTA Online on Christmas day, December 25th, gets a little something extra, namely a sweet Unicorn Mask and either a White Graphic or Blue Check Pajamas as well as some hard packages in the form of ammunition.

  • Fireworks Launcher plus 10 Fireworks rockets
  • Carbine Rifle plus 200 rounds of Ammo
  • Marksman Rifle plus 200 rounds of Ammo
  • Basic Knuckle Dusters
  • 25 Sticky Bombs
  • 25 Grenades
  • 5 Proximity Mines
  • 5 Molotovs
  • Full Snacks
  • Full Armor

Rockstar is also giving away a little something to those we can't log in on Christmas Day, players who log in on the 23rd, 24th, or 26th will be getting the Fireworks Launcher plus 10 Fireworks rockets as well as a special Event Tee of their choosing.

"If you're going to miss Santa's "Nice" list, you might as well miss by a mile" as they say so Rockstar is also giving away 50 percent more cash on all Vehicle Exports, Biker Business Sales, and Special Cargo Deliveries.
