The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 has not been cancelled, but it's not arriving alongside the Xbox One or PS4 versions either. In announcing the release date for all three new versions, Rockstar confirmed that GTA 5 on PC won't arrive until January 27, 2015 — about two months after the console versions.
On the bright side, it seems like all three feature the same type of improvements, including major visual and technical upgrades, increased draw distances, higher resolution and all of the following:
- New weapons, vehicles and activities
- Additional wildlife
- Denser traffic
- New foliage system
- Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more
There's also over 100 additional new songs on the radio and a slew of new, exclusive content for any players returning from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions to the PC version, including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane, the Blimp; activities like wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges; new weapons and more. Rockstar also confirmed that all existing players will be able to transfer their GTA Online characters to the PC (or Xbox One or PS4).
All players who pre-order the new version of GTA 5 will get $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA$500K each for your Story Mode and for your GTA Online in-game bank accounts).
