Grand Theft Auto 5's Title Update 1.29 arrived today, and with it comes the highly anticipated Rockstar Editor for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Previously available on PC only, this movie-making feature allows players to capture, edit, and share videos created from gameplay in GTA 5 and GTA Online. The update also brings new features for Rockstar Editor across all platforms, including Ambient sound effects tracks, 10 new fonts, the ability to take Snapmatic photos in Editor, and plenty of other improvements.
Also arriving with the update are Freemode Events in GTA Online. As explained in our previous post, Freemode Events offer a completely open gameplay experience by seamlessly integrating games and challenges into GTA Online's Freemode.
Today's Title Update is pretty massive, so be sure to check over the complete patch notes here. Unfortunately, for last-gen gamers, today's update and its new features were only made available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Though disappointing, it's not unexpected, as Rockstar mentioned numerous times in the past that they've begun to reach the technical capacity of what the older generation consoles can handle. From today on, Rockstar will no longer offer content updates on Xbox 360 or PS3.
