Developer Rockstar Games has confirmed that a "tailored" version of its popular Rockstar Editor for Grand Theft Auto 5 will be made available for consoles this year.
Rockstar Editor, a built-in tool that lets you record, edit, and share videos created from footage in the game's Story Mode and GTA Online (multiplayer), made its debut as a feature exclusive to the PC version of the game. While it's too demanding for last-gen systems, Rockstar did say that a "tailored" version will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One versions as early as this summer.
"The Rockstar Editor is an advanced tool requiring additional processing power so it would not be compatible with GTAV on the older systems, but we are currently working on a version tailored for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles – and we hope to release that sometime this summer, or as soon as it is ready," Rockstar revealed in a new mailbag of fan questions.
"We are also planning to bring The Lab radio station to all four consoles in a forthcoming title update," the developer added. For those unfamiliar, the Lab FM radio station featured in the PC version of GTA 5 is composed of music due to be featured on an upcoming album titled "Welcome to Los Santos."
