Earlier this week, Rockstar released a title update for Grand Theft Auto 5 that fixed a slew of issues associated with the single player portion of the game (don't worry, they have already released a patch for GTA Online on PS3 and are working on getting one out for Xbox 360). Although Rockstar provided a very brief change-log of fixes, it appears the underwater exploit that gave players infinite money has also been fixed.
For those who are unfamiliar, the exploit involved going to a particular location and swimming underwater to a sunken sub where there was a glowing object that rewarded you with $12,000. By simply switching to another character and switching back, the item would respawn and you could pick it up again. You could essentially do this repeatedly and gain infinite money. However, that no longer appears to be the case.
Brought to our attention by readers, it appears the latest update fixed the exploit which means you'll have to earn money the fair and honest way — by taking advantage of the stock market and purchasing properties.
I'm sure there's still other ways to earn some quick cash so if you know of any let us know in the comments below or submit them to us at tips@gamezone.com.
