Rockstar Games has responded to the flood of complaints regarding Grand Theft Auto 5's connection issues on Xbox One and PS4.
As we reported yesterday, a number of users have been reporting problems when attempting to connect to GTA Online, the online multiplayer portion of the game. When attempting to connect online, they are often greeted with the error: "time out locating session."
In an update yesterday, the developer promised to address the issue with a patch, due out some time today.
"We are currently addressing issues with intermittent connection errors for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. This issue will be addressed by tomorrow with a patch for all users," Rockstar said yesterday.
So far, no patch has been issued, but we'll update you when we learn more.
Rockstar has offered some generic troubleshooting steps should you experience a problem, but many users have claimed that the steps don't fix the problem. Hopefully today's patch will.
