GTA Online’s Independence Day Event Weekend begins tomorrow

In celebration of the 4th of July, and the release of The Independence Day Special, Rockstar is hosting a special weekend event in GTA Online.

Starting tomorrow, you can celebrate the birthplace of freedom with the Grand Theft Auto Online Independence Day Event Weekend. During this time, you can earn bonus RP and GTA$, while saving big at Ammu-Nation. Rockstar will also be holding special giveaways during this time.

Playing the Independence Day Special Event Playlist — a special selection of some new Rockstar-created Jobs — you will score double GTA$ and double RP. Additionally, Merryweather Security is offering a 75 percent discount on Airstrikes all weekend, while Ammu-Nation is offering 25 percent off ammo for RPGs, Grenade Launchers, and Miniguns. Lastly, Pegasus Lifestyle Management will let you call in any oversized vehicle at absolutely no cost.

The Independence Day Special went live yesterday in GTA Online, introducing two new types of vehicles, two additional weapons, and a variety of patriotic flare. Releasing alongside the new content was Title Update 1.15 which you can read more about here.
