Yesterday, the eagerly awaited Heists — the 4-player cooperative gameplay experience for Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer — arrived in GTA Online. And like the launch of the multiplayer mode last year, Rockstar's servers buckled under the demand, preventing players from enjoying the new feature.
Although Rockstar said earlier today that "full access" had been restored to GTA Online — and it did work for a while — it appears that players are once again experiencing problems. Once again, we're getting reports of servers being down. In some instances, players are able to log in online, but are unable to actually access the Heists.
For what it's worth, Rockstar Games still lists GTA Online's services as "up" on all platforms , but warns of "issues connecting to GTA Online" on PS4 and PS3. The developer says they are "currently investigating" the issues and recommends players experiencing problems to follow the instructions provided in the GTA Online Connection Troubleshooting page.
