I know, Grand Theft Auto 5 is all the rage right now, but GTA: San Andreas still holds a special place in my heart. So I'm ecstatic that Rockstar Games has announced San Andreas, the biggest Grand Theft Auto game of the PS2 era, will be available on "select" mobile devices in December.
Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas, and everything in between has been upgraded for the mobile release next month. This, of course, means newly remastered graphics including dynamic and detailed shadows, greater draw distance, an enriched color palette, plus enhanced character and car models. Rockstar claims this is the "best-looking version of San Andreas yet."
The game has also received new touch controls including contextual control options to display buttons only when you need them and three different control schemes for driving and maneuvering. The checkpoint system has also been reworked. And for those of you who don't enjoy touch controls, San Andreas also offers full controller support.
Look out for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas next month on select iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle, and Windows Mobile devices. We'll be sure to give you the specifics as soon as Rockstar releases them.
