The luchador-themed Guacamelee! is smacking down on the PC on August 8 as a comprehensive Gold Edition.
Toronto-based developer Drinkbox Studios is bringing its successful action-platformer to Steam next week. Guacamelee! originally launched on PlayStation 3 and Vita in April.
As a special promotion, Drinkbox is throwing in its previous game, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack — a sidescrolling platformer that's about just what you'd expect from the name. The deal is only good during the first week of release.
Guacamelee! Gold Edition costs $15 and includes two downloadable content packs, the Costume Pack and The Devil's Playground. It also makes use of trading cards, a new feature on Steam that customizes player profiles, as well as other aspects of the service.
I'm curious how the console and PC versions will compare since the appeal of Guacamelee! partly hinges on local, not online, same-screen multiplayer.
