Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition now available on Xbox One and 360; free for Games with Gold

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Drinkbox Studios' Metroid-vania style action-platformer, is now available for Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game is actually making its Xbox debut as one of July's Games with Gold titles for Xbox One. This means Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers have until July 15 to download it for free on Xbox One. For everyone else, it'll be priced at $14.99.

For those unfamiliar, Guacmalee! sees you play as Juan Aguacate, a masked Mexican wrestler on a quest to save the President's daughter from the evil, skeletal Carlos Calaca. As a Super Turbo Championship Edition, you're getting even more, including more words to the title, an extra save slot, new costumes, creepy hanging dolls, two extra levels, new and improved enemies, another save slot, a new dimension-switching ability called “Shadow Swap,” chicken egg bombs, an NPC with an impossibly large head, and a power called INTENSO.

While we haven't had a chance to check out the Super Turbo Championship Edition just yet, you can read our review of the original Guacamelee! here.
