Guild Wars Platinum Edition can help you earn rewards in Guild Wars 2

ArenaNet is helping newcomers start off in style when Guild Wars 2 launches next month.

With Guild Wars 2's Hall of Monuments players can be rewarded with unique items based on accomplishments in the original Guild Wars. Located both in the world of Tyria and on the Guild Wars 2 website, the Hall of Monuments will track your achievements and accomplishments. It is in this trophy chamber that you can redeem your achievements for rewards in Guild Wars 2.

For the first 30 points you earn, you will receive unique items, with special titles being awarded every 5 points, up to the maximum of 50 points. Although there are a total of 50 points available, only the first 30 will reward you with special items.

It's a simple concept, but the catch is that you'll need two things: any of the original Guild Wars campaigns – Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall – as well as the Eye of the North expansion.

Don't fret, as ArenaNet has you covered with the Guild Wars Platinum Edition. Available today for $19.99 in the NCsoft Store, the Platinum Edition contains both Prophecies and the Eye of the North expansion which, in turn, includes the Hall of Monuments. With this you'll be able to earn the achievements that grant you points to redeem for exclusive rewards in Guild Wars 2 like pets and weapon and armor skins.

Guild Wars 2 is set to release on August 28 giving you a little over a month to earn the 30 points for the rewards. To help you on your journey, ArenaNet has even provided a guide.
