Director Guillermo del Toro has some advice for moviegoers, especially fans of Pacific Rim — "Don't believe everything you read."
Despite the production rollercoaster the film has been on, del Toro assured fans the project is still going, and that he'll remain involved "in one way or another." Taking to Twitter del Toro said the following in response to the latest Pacific Rim 2 cancellation rumors.
Pacific Rim has been delayed numerous times, but latest rumors claimed the action flick had been cancelled entirely. Stemming from del Toro's involvement with new new project Fantastic Voyage — a remake of the 1966 sci-fi classic — The Hollywood Reporter claimed Pacific Rim 2 is "off the table indefinitely."
Well, we don't have any official update from the studio, but I'd say del Toro offered some sound advice.
