Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Gets a PS4 Beta This Week

Here's how you can play Gwent with Geralt this Weekend

Remember Gwent from The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt ? Well, it now has its own standalone game. Previously, it had a beta for PC and Xbox One. This weekend, however, a timed beta will be available for PlayStation 4 users starting Friday, March 31.

The beta, a 3 GB download, will last all weekend from 1 PM Friday to 2 AM Monday morning (EST). Build your own Gwent deck and try tutorials before facing other players in casual online matches according to developers CD Projekt Red.

According to them, the beta is for server stress testing and not balancing. They also state that  PS Plus is not required to participate in the beta.

The closed beta on Xbox One and PC happened back in October. During this beta, CD Projekt Red's own Marcin Momot said, "What we created as a part of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is now, because of your involvement, a standalone game and a totally different experience that firmly stands on its own. The closed beta is another step in the process–you can now help us shape the game into something you can call your own."
