H1Z1 gets small update to fix loot system bug

Sony Online Entertainment's post-apocalyptic survival MMO, H1Z1, received an update early this morning. While small in terms of patch notes, the update actually attempts to fix a rather large issue with the game's loot system.

Since the release of early access two weeks ago, SOE has struggled with the loot system. Between the bugs with items spawning inside of containers to an overall stingy system, SOE's attempt to balance the system has been ongoing.

Here are the patch notes for today's update.

  • Fixed an issue with loot which was preventing re-spawning of some items.
  • Battle Royale: Fixed some issues which were causing problems when a match would complete
  • Additional general server stability adjustments

As an early access game, these frequent patches should be expected as SOE gathers more feedback and players continue to explore the world of H1Z1. You can check out my most recent impressions of the game here.
