H1Z1 sells over a million copies on Steam

In early February, Daybreak Game Company, formerly known as Sony Online Entertainment, was hit with layoffs. Despite how hectic things may have been within the studio, the developers affirmed that H1Z1 would not be sidetracked and the game would continue in its direction "full steam ahead."

The post-apocalyptic, survival MMO, made its early access release in mid-January and has since sold over a million copies through Steam.

H1Z1 still has yet to make its full release, but based on sales the game has raked in somewhere between $20 million – $40 million through Steam alone — while the game is still in Early Access none-the-less. That's not even counting the amount of money that airdrops have brought in. Each airdrop is $2.50 if at least half of the player base bought one airdrop Daybreak could see about $1,250,000.

What I'm saying here is that this game has potentially made a lot of money and it hasn't even made a full release. It's still in Early Access.
