Hakuoki samurai visual novel comes to 3DS

Fans of the niche visual-novel genre can make room for another title soon. Today Aksys Games announced Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi for the 3DS.

This entry from developer Idea Factory is a port of Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, which Aksys released on the PlayStation Portable in 2012. Back in February of this year, Aksys launched a hack-n-slash samurai spin-off for PSP called Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi.

Aksys did not list a release date for the upcoming title, which includes six new stories and the capability to take photos with the characters using the 3DS's camera.

Memories of the Shinsengumi follows Chizuru as she searches for her missing father in Kyoto, Japan. There she encounters a group of samurai known as the Shinsengumi, who share the same goal.
