Half-Life 3 is being worked on!

The rumors have been out there for years and now we've finally got confirmation: Valve is working on Half-Life 3. The confirmation comes from Counter-Strike creator and former Valve employee Minh "Gooseman" Le who revealed that he's seen concept art of the game.

"I don’t think I can talk about that, to be honest, but I think it’s kind of public knowledge, that people know that it is being worked on. And so if I were to say that yeah, I’ve seen some images, like some concept art of it, that wouldn’t be big news to be honest," Le said on the goRGNtv podcast.

“But yeah, I mean like I guess I could say that I did see something that looked kinda like in the Half-Life universe. And I mean it wouldn’t surprise anyone if I said they’re doing it, they’re working on it, yeah. So to go on a limb I’d say I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3."

Wouldn't be big news!? Is Le aware of the long-standing rumors and theories that exist about Half-Life 3? Of course this is big news. It's huge news! Half-Life 3 — or at least what he believes to be Half-Life 3 — is being worked on!

Part of the reason Le had no problem divulging such information is because it seems "like old news by now." Given the years of speculation, that's a certainly understandable belief, but the tight-lipped Valve has never actually acknowledged the existence of Half-Life 3 so let's hope he doesn't get in any trouble.

Below is the full podcast. The part about Half-Life 3 with Minh Le begins at 33:55.
