Although today's update for Destiny is mostly aimed at creating "a more stable experience" for players, Bungie has also hidden a little Halloween surprise for its Guardians.
Next time you're at the Tower, head over to the Postmaster to pick up your Halloween treat — a Jackolyte pumpkin head. Upon visiting the Postmaster, you can get the "All Hallow's Eve" box which contains three Jackolyte consumables. Each Jackolyte lasts for 30 minutes and basically puts a spooky, fiery pumpkin on your head. It's nothing more than a cosmetic item, but it's still pretty hilarious running around the Tower dancing with a bunch of pumpkin-headed Guardians.
In addition to the little treat, today's update also fixes the Atheon exploit which let players easily kill the Vault of Glass boss by simply knocking him off his platform. Check out the full patch notes for Destiny update 1.0.2.3 here.
