Halo 2: Anniversary adds guns to the Mongoose

When Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases later this year, it won't just be a hi-def remake of the classic Halo games for Xbox One. Sure, improved graphics are part of it, but 343 Industries is also making subtle tweaks to certain gameplay elements. Like, for instance, the changes being made to the Mongoose in Halo 2: Anniversary.

Detailed over the weekend, 343 Industries has attached guns to the Mongoose. It's now appropriately named the "Gungoose." And with this new variant, you can enjoy an all-new mode, Gungoose CTF, on the fan-favorite map Coagulation. Yes, Coagulation is one of the maps being remade for Halo 2: Anniversary.

Halo 2: Anniversary is one of four games included with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Revealed at E3 in June, the new collection bundles remakes of the franchise's first four console releases: Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4.
