Halo 2 Anniversary Edition's campaign — which is included as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection (announced at E3) — may not run at 1080p resolution, according to 343 Industries' franchise director Frank O'Connor. Quick Microsoft, give the Xbox One another 10 percent!
Responding to a post on NeoGAF regarding resolution, O'Connor explained there's "a chance" that Halo 2 Anniversary's campaign "could run at a different resolution to accommodate the second frame rate buffer." He added that "the intent is to overcome that hurdle."
Having said that, all multiplayer games in The Master Chief Collection will run in 1080p at 60 frames per second, including Halo 2 Anniversary.
"We'll keep showing progress throughout the year using a process we call 'game development'," the cheeky O'Connor said. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is due out November 11 exclusively for Xbox One.
