343 Industries and Microsoft had Halo on a pedestal at Comic-Con, but among their many panels and stands dedicated to the series, one point stands out: Halo: The Master Chief Collection will in some way tie into Halo 5: Guardians.
As Siliconera reports, 343 revealed that hidden terminals within the remake of Halo 2 will feature motion comic videos focused on the Arbiter but relevant to the impending tale of the Guardians.
Other anniversary bonuses include dynamic game engines, that is, the ability to vote between, say, Halo 3 and Halo 2’s engines in multiplayer matches. As previously reported, you will also be able to swap between the original and remastered versions of Halo 2 at will without disrupting the game.
In addition, there will be unique playlists within the Master Chief Collection. Final Four, for example, puts players through the ending scenes of all four games while the Master Chief Saga stitches the entire series together as a single, unbroken experience.
