343 Industries has launched Halo 3: ODST on PC. You can grab the unique Halo spin-off right now on PC either via Steam or Microsoft Store for just $4.99. Watch the launch trailer here!
With the arrival of Halo 3: ODST on PC, the Bungie-developed era of Halo titles has reached its completion. It’s hard to believe but just half a year ago did the PC crowd finally started receiving the modernized Halo anthology in the form the Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
While all previous Halo games cost $9.99 – which is still an absolute steal – Halo 3: ODST is priced even more aggressively at a mere $4.99. The value here cannot be overstated enough as users get one of the best open-world FPS games of the Xbox 360 era for less than the price of a pizza.
Still, if you purchase the Halo: The Master Chief Collection in its entirety, Halo 3: ODST will be included at no extra cost. By including all five Bungie Halo games, the MCC is already one of the best values for FPS gamers out there. But there is still one title left for the collection to be fully complete.
Halo 4 is confirmed to be the last puzzle piece PC gamers can look forward to, and it also marks the only Halo game not created by Bungie. Instead, it’s the first entry developed by 343 Industries.
When it launched back in 2012 on the Xbox 360, it was a great first attempt of the new studio. So, despite mixed feelings among the community with its follow-up Halo 5, this one is still a rock-solid Halo game you should look forward to. There is no release schedule for it just now but with how previous releases have gone it won’t take too long. And hey, Halo 3: ODST ought to cover your Halo needs for the foreseeable future anyway.
