Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, a live action web series whose release led up to the release of 343 Industries' Halo 4, has been nominated for Outstanding Main Title Design, an Emmy recently won by Game of Thrones.
The five episode series, released through Machinima, took Halo fans back to the beginning of the human and Covenant war while telling the story of how Master Chief inspired a young UNSC cadet, Thomas Lasky, to rise up and become a leader aboard the UNSC Infinity Spacecraft. Apparently it was very, very good production.
Granted, the Outstanding Main Title Design isn't the flashiest Emmy, but come on — a freaking web series is going up against HBO's Newsroom, FX's American Horror Story: Asylum, Starz' Da Vinci Demons, CBS' Elementary, and History Channel's Vikings. That's some good company to be in.
