Halo 4 Infinity Challenge Finals begins tomorrow

It's been about a month since Halo 4's Infinity Challenge — a free-to-enter competition that rewards gamers with prizes for simply playing Halo 4 officially began. For weeks, players battled it out online as part of the Qualifier phase, in hopes of landing a spot in the competition's Top Tier. The qualifier phase officially ended yesterday, resulting in players being lumped into one of the following three tiers:

  • Tier 1: the top 10% of players competing
  • Tier 2: the next 11%-40% of players competing
  • Tier 3: the last 60% of players competing

The competition is just heating up though. Starting tomorrow the Finals phase begins. During this phase players will have until January 19 to once again make their way to the top of their respective tier to win prizes. The top Tier 1 players for each category have a chance to win the grand prizes, which consists of the UNSC-themed, 2013 V8-powered Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck (or an alternate prize of $25,000) for the War Games winner and a role in the next Halo game for the Spartan Ops winner. The lower tiers, of course, get prizes as well.

It's going to be an exciting week in Halo 4's multiplayer; that's for sure. Best of luck to all competitors! To keep track of the latest leaders for each category visit the official Infinity Challenge website.
