Halo 4 live-action UK trailer released

Halo 4, which was undoubtedly the highlight of Microsoft's E3 press briefing, has given fans in the UK a new live-action trailer.

First teased at E3 last week, the new trailer shows what happens in the seconds leading up to the starship U.N.S.C. Infinity crashing into the planet that Master Chief is on. The gameplay footage showed the beginning moments of Halo 4 as Master Chief witnesses the Infinity falling out of the sky due to loss of power.

In the trailer, you see why. It appears as if the Infinity, which was once a battle vessel, has now been re-purposed for peace. Now home to 17,000 of humanities best and brightest, the Infinity is the "culmination of human achievement". As the Infinity heads out to discover new worlds in an attempt to peacefully advance the cause of mankind, it seems to run into some sort of alien rift portal.

After breaking apart and losing power, Master Chief watches as the Infinity makes a crash landing on this alien planet. It was here that the gameplay footage began at E3, and where you will awake an ancient evil when Halo 4 launches on November 6.
